Restaurant manager, 27, fined for firing at ATM

A 27-year-old man in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, recently had to cough up a fine of 5,874 yuan ($860) for firing gunshots at an ATM machine, destroying it completely.

Qi Wei, a restaurant manager, said he was bored waiting for a friend and decided to use his recently acquired gun on a non-living thing to kill time on the night of May 24.

A surveillance camera on the street filmed Qi firing at the ATM machine like a terrorist. He was arrested three days later.
